I was part of the first DeSmet lacrosse team. It would have been hard to imagine back in '92 that he would build the program into what it became, both at DeSmet and in the St. Louis area. I haven't played lacrosse since high school (most of us on that inaugural team signed up more out of curiousity, or to try something new, than because we were great athletes), but I will never forget those two years. Coach Sennett brought a drive and an intensity that would lead to the program's success, but he also respected us all, and coached positively. I was stunned and saddened to learn of his death. Prayers and condolences to all those he left behind.
